new friends! what are we doing about them?
hey friends! i think it's really exciting how God has miraculously added so so so many people into our cell... wanzhenkaiqingjiayubonnywen ningquestion is, what are we doing with these new friends?! why do we even bother about them? 'if they wanna come, then come lor. dont wanna come, it's not my problem what...' well, you can tell that that's so not the kind of attitude we should have, (and i'm confident none of us have that attitude). we bother because Jesus would. i wanna challenge us all to keep in contact with at least one of our new friends, plus one of our old... old including...weejunclaraabelalvindansensebastianhwee zhenhwee yingsarahaaron ongthis is a fantastic time to brush up on our social skills by just being friendly, and establishing a rapport with them (those who come sporadically). it's amazing how we have bonded together as a cell even though we come from different backgrounds, different interests, different schools yada yada... and i believe because we have decided to put in effort to be friends with one another, God has decided that He can trust us with greater responsibilities-His people! people will only join us (and experience one way God shows His love to them) when they feel loved by us, when they feel accepted and a sense of belonging. it'll be sad if our friends actually feel more loved and accepted by the world than by the church. we dont care what the rest of the cells are doing... we're going to be a radical cell for our Lord! we're going to relentlessly pursue these people for God. (just like how we are relentlessly pursuing our only perfect lover! =p) so let's be an outward-looking cell that will constantly reach out to those that we have come into contact with. alrights? who's with me? yes! i see that hand.. and that hand.. and another...so we're in this together?great! i can totally see all of you nodding your heads. so, here's the plan.we have 8 of us, currently whom i'm pretty sure are willing to commit 5 minutes of our week (that's 1/2016 of our week! i'm sure you can afford it..) to message/call our new and old friends,:aaronjeremychrisjosephmarilynpeicigraceivanaso, each of us will be paired with at least one new friend and one old friend. and we will pray and continually establish a stronger friendship till all new and old friends become permanent friends! alright! by the way, if we persist and not give up... and we see all new and old friends becoming permanent friends, our cell will have a total of 23 people! that'll be a record! we'll be ready to multiply into 2 cells! let's be like the amoeba that's always multiplying! =pokies. with a little of primary school mathematics, we have in total 9 girls and 6 guys whom we gotta contact. and there's 4 girls and 4 guys who are more than willing to contact these other 15 peeps. so, each girl will contact at least 2 girls and each guy will contact 2 guys. now, what we have to do is, name the 2 whom you're committed to contacting. (the people u wanna contact may overlap, it's ok. and naming the 2 doesn't mean you can't contact anyone else... if you wanna msg/call everybody on the list, by all means, GO AHEAD!)to start the ball rolling...ivana is committed to contacting sarah, kaiqing, abel and jiayu. -ivana

one thing worth being concerned about
Jesus Visits Martha and Mary
As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, " Lord, doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while i do all the work? Tell her to come and help me. "
But the Lord said to her, " My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary discovered it and I won't take it away from her."
