our community project is almost here. its on coming saturday 02 Aug from 2pm to 5pm. we desperately need all your help, yes clara, weejun, zhen, hwee ying, sebast, alvin, kaibin, kaiqing,sarah, bonny, jiayu, abel, joyce, wanzhen, your presence will make a huge difference X)

grace and jinyu, really appreciate the efforts put in planning and ownership of the project,
u two have done a fantastic job, keep up the good work and the good spirit!

and to everyone else: be excited and prepare yourself !

On wings of prayer

hello...
I've just chanced upon an ancient, yellowish book in one of my hse's cabinet.
Although it's only worth a mere $2.50, i think it's a really rich book...lol. So i'm going to share some of the things i've read in it.

The title is 'I AM A WOMAN', but i'll pick out stuff that all of us can learn..
So I'll be touching on prayer.


"Prayer simply acknowledges that we do depend on God...that there are some needs that we cannot meet alone, some demands we are unable to fulfill with our own wisdom or resources. That's what prayer says--we need God."

"Take time out to meditate on who God is. Pull out at least one thing you can thank Him for. (so everyone must give at least one testimony in cell the next time..lol)
Even if you think there's absolutely nothing good in your life or circumstances, praise Him for salvation, for sins forgiven, for peace of mind, for the hope of heaven where there's no more pain, sorrow or death."

Some points that I've took down:
- We will receive when we ask according to God's will.
- We ask and probably have not received because we ask selfishly and to gratify our wants
- Pray in the attitude of 'Your will be done'
- Prayer is also listening to God who reveals His will.
- Ask specifically
- Pray and look to God in times of temptation and victory
- Speak frequently to God in our own ways about our joy and sorrow, success and failure, and we'll develop great wisdom and understanding
- Prayer changes things
- By prayer we can reach the heart of God
- Finally, give thanks to God for every answered prayer.

God will not plant a seed that will never grow...

Hey cell,




It has been a long time since I've blogged.. I'm still a blog-idiot.. hahax.. Anyway, I would like to share what I have learnt from my devotion yesterday.. Before I begin my sharing, I want to come clean before God & my brothers-&-sisters-in-Christ, that I've not been doing my devotion for a long time as I'm not doing well..Experiencing spiritual 'dryness, I was 'stagnant' in my walk with God and I was on the verge of giving up everything..




But once again, God is still so gracious towards me; He picked me up again... The topic of my devotion was on "Seeds of Righteousness".




“Within each one of us is the seed for righteous living. God plants that seed within us and provides rich soil in which it can grow.
But it is up to us to tend this seed and the growth that results. Take this time now to give attention to the good gift which is growing in you.


Isaiah 55:10-11 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it."”






God reminded me of what He spoke to me someday in February, when I was still deciding to be a Spiritual Multiplier in my CCA, Campus Crusade for Christ. He said “I will not plant a seed that will never grow.” That was the exact words/sentence that struck me again yesterday. The reason why things aren’t going smoothly and wasn’t doing well was that I was being too complacent and self-reliant. Many a time, I failed to accomplish the tasks given by God, failed His people and even my tests, I wanted to give up easily and do nothing, shirk my responsibilities and resign to my workload. Gently, God rebuked me that until I’ve accomplished the tasks that He has given me, I will not be able to return to Him nor succeed in life. Once a seed has grown, it can never return to its original state again. Like the verse above says, “do not return.. until they have watered the earth,… giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. ” God wants us to cling on to His promise; He wants us to be faithful to tend His ‘seeds’ (God-given tasks) and make sure they ‘grow’.




Apostle Paul’s saying – ‘He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.’



Alright, I’m so sorry to have your eyes strained.. Heeheex.. I’ll leave you with my favorite cliché “You ought to experience rain, before the sun outshines a rainbow.” Remember that the joy of our Lord is our strength! May our cell be God-orchestrated, AMEN! oh ya, if you want to grow, DRINK EnFaGrOw! grow,gRoW,GROW! heeheex...

A spirit of wisdom and encouragement

Hey all, gonna put up my devotion or rather diary for today. =)

This is a prayer I've made for myself and the cell...

Dear God,
May you grant us wisdom in our everyday life. Let our decisions always be based on 'What would Jesus do?'. Let us make an effort to think carefully before we speak, for many a times we may have hurt others unknowingly.

Lord, I pray that we will be able to learn from you, to be understanding and wise. At the same time, may this wisdom not cause us to be filled with pride, but always keep us humble and righteous.

Help us to think thoroughly and carefully so that we'll be able to make the best decisions. Grant us better analytical skills and guide us even in our studies.

Lord, I pray that we'll learn to speak words of encouragement for the benefit of ourselves and others. Help us to get rid of any envy within us and but instead let us treasure each of our unique character and abilities. Let us grow as a cell, always faithful, always encouraging and always there for one another. Even when sometimes things do no seem to go our way, let us be able to maintain a smile and optimism, for we'll remain undefeated and victorious with you by our side. What more could we ask for. Amen.
